The last time I chose to chage a specific behavior was in regards to my diet. Upon dealing with an injury I was unable to exercse like I normally do and had to adjust my diet to account for less physical activity. I made a new diet plan and had to follow it closely to ensure proper follow-through. It has been going well due to proper planning and preparation. Anytime a manager has to make a tough choice such as mass layoffs, it is completely expected to feel bad for the people you have to lay off. At the end of the day you as a manager are paid to look after the betterment of the organization. Organizations use neuroscience to better understand the human response to certain aspects of their policies and operations. Examples of this are things such as aspects of work/life balance and stress related aspects of someones job
