The modern legal argument about abortion is built upon cases like Roe V Wade. For several years the religious foundation of the United States has slowly been chipped away. The United States Supreme Court heard an argument concerning a pregnant woman named Roe who brought a class action suit challenging the constitutionality of the Texas criminal abortion law. Which states procuring or attempting to procure an abortion for other means than to save the mother's life is illegal. A childless couple named The Does the Wife not being pregnant separately attacked the laws basing allege injury on the future possibilities of contraceptive failure and impairment of the wife's health. On December 13, 1971, a decision was not reached until January 22, 1973, making it legal abortion through the United States. According to our textbook and the bible abortion is found to be wrong, In our textbook Principle 4 states "The specific rights listed in the declaration are also Biblically based as thou shalt not kill". So, the reason abortion is frowned upon is because it is killing, and, the bible, says that we shouldn't do that
