The most interesting part of this TED talk to me was the story she told about how she was unfortunately involved in a severe and traumatic car crash, but then gave examples of how she "faked it" till she made it, showing how your mind can change your body and vice versa. It's really fascinating to see someone give an actual example of this and how strong she came back after the car crash and was then able to encourage others that she saw who were once at where she was in life, faking it until they made it.

Different ways I've experienced nonverbal communication in my life are within my job as a barista. As someone who is already very aware of body language and aware of nonverbal communication, it's helpful to see if a customer is acting or behaving a certain way through their posture, tone, or mannerisms while ordering their drink or receiving it as well. This is sometimes a positive and negative experience depending on the person. And within my own life, as someone whose default is to go into low-power poses such as the ones that Dr. Amy  Cuddy described, has affected me negatively in some ways and in some areas of my life but also helped me as well. It's going to be a goal of mine though, in order to instill more self-confidence, to assume more powerful poses to encourage my own being and the space I take up.

Lastly, assuming the idea of faking it until I make it can really help me because I don't always have the most confident stature or attitude in social settings so assuming these poses and attitudes even if it feels fake could really help me be able to be more confident in social settings. I feel like it can also help me be more aware of others around me who need to be encouraged and could even potentially be a role model to some when I eventually "make it" just as Dr. Cuddy did in her speech.
