The oil (density= 920 kg/m3, u= 80x10-3 Pas) in a closed tank with a gauge pressure of 75 kPa is supplied with the help of a conveying line system. It will be pumped into an intermediate-resting tank with a vacuum of 20 kPa at a flow rate of 1.7 kg/s. The pipes used on the line are of commercial steel material. The liquid level in the vacuum tank is 3 m below the liquid level in the pressure tank. The total length of the 2 in Sch.40 diameter pipe used in the pipeline is 26m. In the system, there are 2 side open gate valves, 8 90 elbows and 12 connection pieces at the tank outlet. The efficiency of the pump is 75%.
