The past few years, Dr. Fares has asked students in his fall STAT 2606 classes to participate in a poll to help him choose a Christmas gift for his wife. He had students participate on a voluntary basis through a poll on CuLearn. Each year, he gave the same three choices: Dinner and Movie, New Clothes, Earrings. Dr. Fares asked the students to rank the gifts from most favoured to least favoured with scores of 1 to 3, respectively. The number of participants were 153 in Fall 2017, 82 in Fall 2018, and 159 in Fall 2019. The table below summarizes the the number of first place votes.
