The Perry Preschool Project was created in the early 1960's by David Weikart in Yipsilanti Michigan in the USA.One hundered and twenty three African American Children were randomly assigned to one of two groups.One group enrolled in the Perry Preschool and one did not enroll. Follow-up studies were done for 5 decades to find out if attending preschool had any long-term effects on the individuals. At the age of 40, one of the outcome measures was whether or not the individual had had a felony arrest.Eight of the 58 people who had attended preschool had had at least one felony arrest and 31 of the 65 people who did not attend the preschool had had at least one felony arrest. Test the hypothesis that preschool attendance is related to felony arrests. Use the 5 step hypothesis testing procedure (alpha = 0.05).
