The properties of continuous carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composite laminate are as follows: Elasticity Modulus E (GPa) shear modulus G(GPa) Poisson's ratio v Fiber (Ev)252 (E)-30 25 0.32 Epoxy 3,8 2 0.28 Please make the following calculations assuming that it contains no voids and that the fiber volume ratio is 0.6. (a). Calculate the longitudinal modulus, Poisson's ratio, transverse modulus and in-plane shear modulus of the composite. (b). Under a longitudinal force in a composite laminate, determine the proportions in which the axial forces are shared by the fibers and the matrix. (c). Assume the cross-section of the fibers to be circular and determine the maximum possible longitudinal modulus, Poisson's ratio, transverse modulus and in-plane shear modulus of the composite. (D). Please compare the values you found in this question with the values you found in the previous question.
