The purpose of this assignment is to provide experience in using loops with arrays. All

computations must be performed using loops that process individual data points one at a

time. MATLAB has functions that process entire arrays in a single operation. This is called

Vectorization in MATLAB$$s terminology. Vectorization may not be used for this assignment

as it would defeat the pedagogical purpose. For example, you many not use the dot

operators like $./$ and $.*$ and you may not use commands like diff, max, min, etc. Use

only syntax that has been covered in class. This assignment also demonstrates the value of

breaking up large programming tasks into small functions. Breaking code into functions

allows the code to be reused. Notice how two of the functions are used two times each.
