The purpose of this project is to design a circuit that will identify a four bit sequence using the techniques taught in the lecture. The circuit will examine a serial stream of bits and determine if the appropriate sequence is detected. Create designs for both JK (74ls112) and D (7474 or 7475) type flip-flops and include a comparison in your report. Use your best engineering judgement to choose and justify the best design to implement. You may use either strictly numerical or near optimum methods for state assignment. Design a circuit that will examine exactly 4 bits and detect the serial input sequence 1010 where the 0 is the first bit received.
