$$a fair tax system given taxes are levied progressively, and

$$a simple tax system, given its laws were rewritten substantially by the Tax Law Improvement Project that can be easily interpreted and applied by taxpayers and

or their tax agents.

And yet others argue that the Australian tax system is broken which is in drastic need of tax reform that is unsustainable in light of declining taxation revenue forecasts given Australia

s ageing population.
