The quickbooks online user certification can help students find different jobs in their professional career. It would be a great thing to have on their resume as many companies use QuickBooks for their accounting. Having the certification gives these students an upper hand as compared to someone who does not. I do not plan on taking the certification as I do not use it at my job and I am in the later life of my career. However, with that being said, I may dabble at it for a personal side business my family and I have for our rentals and possible sales of land parcels for development to keep track of expenses and income for tax purposes. I really value the way the reports look and think they would be useful when we need to file yearly taxes. Overall, I had horrible anxiety when I first started this class. It ended up being much easier than I had anticipated and I truly learned so much. Accounting is very much an attention to detail and this class made it very much that. Especially since we used future dates and such for reporting purposes. I really enjoyed this class and am taking so much away from it.
