The role of a paralegal in civil litigation is that keeps a person busy. They must do many tasks to assist their boss, the attorney, Since the attorney is busy with other things, that is where the paralegal comes in. Some examples of tasks a paralegal does around the office might include; gathering evidence, interviewing the clients and potential witnesses, preparing documents (pleadings and motions), and helping with discovery and research. Sometimes the paralegals do need help themselves. There are forms and guides that should be ready and available to them. These forms help a paralegal do their work correctly and efficiently. The forms and guides are a template for a paralegal to use when they are creating the necessary paperwork that is needed. An unauthorized practice of law example is when someone who is not an attorney or someone who is authorized to practice law, gives out legal advice. They can also try to claim that they are attorneys when actually they could be just a paralegal or legal assistant (secretary). It would be non-admissible for them to tell a client something that they are not permitted to do so. The description of rational candor and fairness is when an attorney knows that they are doing something wrong and they know it is, and continue to do it anyways
