The subject is related to "introduction to counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy"

Apply (1) the psychodynamic approach and (2) the cognitive behavioural approach to assess the case below. You can make up some missing information to facilitate your analysis.

Sam is a 20-year-old male. He is studying finance in university year 3. He works as a part-time salesperson in a local clothing store. He presents with feelings of restlessness and fatigue. He reports having difficulty in concentrating in classes and at work as he frequently cannot fall asleep at night. His sleep problems make things worse. He becomes easily irritable merely from small things. He experiences other physical symptoms frequently such as headaches and muscle aches. He experiences unexplained pain in other body parts too. He expresses enormous difficulties in controlling his feelings of worry even when there are not any obvious threats. Because of all these problems, Sam's academic performance has dropped dramatically this year. His income has also dropped significantly as he is too tired to go to work. He refuses to meet his friends because he feels worried constantly. His high level of anxiety has severely affected Sam's physical, social, and occupational functioning. Sam refuses to express his problems to his parents because he thinks they do not care about him. He thinks his parents always act favourably towards his younger brother who is studying medicine. Sam is suggested to attend counselling session by the programme leader. During counselling sessions, Sam seems uncomfortable in talking about his concerns. He has difficulties in maintaining eye contact and trembles a lot.

We don't need to provide a treatment plan for the client; rather, we need to compare the differences between the two counselling approaches used in this case. I need some help for the followings. 1. Case conceptualisation (for example, cognitive distortion, irrational beliefs, core belief, unconscious conflict, defense mechanism, etc.) 2. Goals of therapy 3. Two therapeutic processes and techniques (how to apply the techniques to the case)
