Human problems are viewed in terms of their environmental context. Individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities are constantly interacting with one another in both the physical and social environments. It is critical to understand how people and environments influence one another. The use of intervention theories and models enables the social worker to conduct appropriate problem assessments and develop effective intervention plans.
