There are differences between the Federal and State court and prosecution systems. One of the main differences is jurisdiction and limitations between the scope of each prosecution and the type of cases they oversee. State courts have jurisdiction over state laws Vs Federal courts handle matters involving federal law for example Violations of the U.S. Constitution or federal laws (Buckner, 2024). Also, the way judges are appointed differs between Federal and state systems; Federal judges are appointed by the President Vs State judges are elected by elections or other ways. State courts oversee most criminal and civil cases however, Federal courts can oversee State cases as well as federal cases especially when appeals are submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. In my opinion, federal courts practice a higher standard and the fact that Judges are appointed and not elected could be the difference between a Bias decision depending on what level or jurisdiction the case is taking place
