There are many out there in the public who only know first responders by basically watching TV show like that 911 show and such. So with that in mind, what do one say when they bring up points about why are we looking at things like SOP's and such when we accomplish "this" everyday? You know, you don't need hard and fast mechanistic instructions, you need a principle based approach that can quickly be applied in a dynamic, changing environment.
