There are several different models of social entrepreneurship currently in use around the world, including social purpose ventures, social consequence ventures, enterprising non-profits, and hybrid models (among many others). In this exercise, students will find a contemporary example of a business that fits each category, and explain why they think it is best described in that way. How do these businesses define success? What change in their business model would move them into another category? Your write-up should be a discussion of 4 different social ventures (one from each category) and be 3 pages in length, double-spaced, with 12-point font and 1-inch margins.
