There are so many benefits to building relationships in order to build a positive work environment. Complementary to this approach, employees and managers must have the right attitude about working through conflict to preserve and investing in relationships. Fearing it or hoping that it goes away is not a sound approach. My favorite definition of conflict sets up a neutral approach to conflict. "Two or more ideas or perceptions attempting to occupy the same space and time." When we work with conflict from this place, we are better suited to deal effectively with it. What do you think about this definition of conflict?
