There is a lot of 'common knowledge' associated with psychology and human behaviour. However not all this knowledge is actually correct. Reviewing myths in psychology and the importance of assessing claims based on reputable scientific evidence review origins of particular statements and mechanisms that perpetuate beliefs, such as heuristics. Investigate Statement: "People who experience schizophrenia are dangerous" the evidence for and against this reviews myth versus truth and I want to assess the extent to which this statement is a 'myth' or a 'fact'. I have looked at comorbitity and other factors that make this statementsound true, but there seems to be arguements both for and against that i would like help in providing both to understand.
