This assignment aims to provide you with understanding of an iterative approach to leading projects successfully using agile project management methodology that focuses on continuous releases and incorporating customer feedback with every iteration.

Background The agile project management approach allows constant evaluation and improvement in project development processes. Recently, business executives have seen the importance of agile project management in delivering projects effectively and efficiently, particularly for challenging projects with changing requirements and scope.

You have been assigned by the project management office of your organization as a project manager to tackle new project initiatives using Scrum agile project management approach. The project initiatives include:

• new product development;
• business process improvement;
• quality control;
• product innovation;
• workflow optimization;
• relocation of staff to the new head office; and
• an agile delivery office (ADO) set-up.

How to Proceed

1. Choose one of the project initiatives identified above.

Create an orientation presentation to introduce it to your project team. Your presentation should explain the following:

• What is Agile?;
• What is the Scrum framework?;
• Scrum principles for managing projects;
• project management development process: Scrum process;
• How will the project apply the framework to the project initiative identified?;
• What is the benefit of applying the framework to this project?;
• roles of Scrum team members; and
• Scrum meetings and participants.

Make a video recording of your presentation. To create a video, you may use Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint slideshow recording, or any other tool available to you. Turn on your camera and record yourself presenting.

Note: You are not expected to edit the video professionally; you will be assessed on the quality of your content and presentation skills. Refer to the rubric below for more details on the assessment criteria.
