This is a typical wholesaling company which is currently growing at a quick pace. The company sells high tech teaching equipment that allows classrooms to become active learning laboratories. Some of the equipment includes, Smart Display Boards, light boards, mobile computers, audio/video components, digital podiums, projector systems, etc. They also provide software for these items. You have been brought in to help them with their accounting information system. They currently are using a manual system, but are not sure that the system is functioning as best as possible. They would like for you to evaluate their current systems and to make recommendations on how they can improve and can be prepared for the future growth of the company. You will provide them with several deliverables: A set of systems flowcharts of the current system Including controls currently in place An analysis of their current physical controls using COSO as your guide A new set of systems flowcharts based on your analysis Including controls that should be in place You will provide them with several deliverables: A set of Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) for the system you are recommending. A set of REA diagrams that can be used to convert their manual system to a database system. All tables necessary will be provided List of attributes for each table Primary and Foreign keys identified You will provide them with several deliverables: A preliminary database system will be designed and created in Access Create all necessary tables Identify the primary keys for each table Enter a minimum of five items in each table created Create the relationships for the tables in the database You will provide them with several deliverablies and then you can provide a few queries to demonstrate that your database functions properly.
