This is for a beginners/introductory computer science course. Write a program which prompts the user to enter a sentence. Your program should count and display the number of short (1-3 letters), medium (4-6 letters) and long (7 or more letters) words that appear in the sentence entered by the user. For example, if the user enters the sentence: She sells seashells by the seashore. the output from the program would be: The sentence contains 3 short, 1 medium and 2 long words.
