If two separate partnership LLCs with the same owners create another new business and share the revenue, what accounting procedures need to be done?
For example,
First Company A is a retail store selling alcohol at location 123.
Second Company B is a retail store that sells alcohol at location 456.
Third Company C is a new production company at 789 location that will be producing alcohol, such as wine, and distributing it to Company A and B, including other companies outside the affiliated group for resale.
Bob and Eric are owners of Companies A, B, and C, and all three companies are located in the same U.S. state but in different cities.
A. Is this considered a merger or acquisition? Or else?
B. How should accounts payable and receivables transactions be handled?
C. How should payroll be handled?
D. How about income tax matters under K1?
Additionally, there is another company D with a different name and different tax identification that finances the production building costs of Company C.
