For this journal, you will submit two items, a PowerPoint presentation and a two-page paper.
Your PowerPoint presentation should demonstrate the following with speaker notes as content to support each slide. The presentation should have a minimum of seven slides.
- Select a distribution (normal, exponential, or Poisson).
- Display how the distribution is designed and for what it is used.
- Select a topic and gather data (You can be creative here. You can use collected data from a website or do your own). Examples include blood pressure, SAT scores, or accidents in a city. Other examples are included in the lesson for this unit.
- Display the data in a table and in the selected distribution.
- Your examples should include images.
In addition to the presentation, write a two-page persuasive and detailed description of your data analysis plan. Your paper should include an introduction, the content of your data analysis in the body, and a conclusion. Also, include a title and a reference page, which do not count towards the two pages. Your paper should include the following:
- It should demonstrate your understanding of the different types of research methods (distributions) and approaches by explaining your rationale for your selection.
- It should demonstrate your understanding of data sampling and distributions.
- Explain your choices and strategy for data analysis.
- Explain the data sampling and distribution aspects of your plan.
