The base of the ramp has a length of D. After the block is released from rest, it slides down the ramp onto a rough horizontal surface until it comes to rest at a position x = 4D from the base of the ramp, as shown in the figure. There is negligible friction between the block and the inclined ramp, while the coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the rough horizontal surface is pb.
