Unfortunately, you have used the wrong number system. A kilobit is actually 1000 bits. I.e. you need to follow the SI system (1000s) and not the binary system (1024s).

MY ANSWER

These terms basically used to measure the data rate. In the very small unit it gets measued in bits/second.

bit is the smallest unit.

8 bit (b) = 1 byte(B) (bit and bytes are two different things)

1 kilo bit (Kb) = 1024 *8 = 8192 bits

now

1024 bytes = 1 kilo byte(KB)

1024 kilo byte(KB) = 1 mega byte(MB)

1024 mega byte(MB) = 1 giga byte (GB)

The bigger unit we use as per the transfer of data increases.

Kbps :- It is unit for measuring the rate of data transfer, when 1024 bytes data transfer takes place in one second then it is known as 1 kbps or 1 kilo bytes per decond.

Mbps :- A bigger unit than kbps to measure the rate of data transfer. When 1024 kilo bytes data transfer takes place in one second then we say 1Mbps or 1 mega bytes per second.

Gbps :- A more bigger unit than kbps and mbps . When 1024 megabytes data transfer takes place in a second then it is called 1 Gbps or 1 giga bytes per second.

We come across this word, when we talk about the speed of the internet. Or any file transfer over a network from one computer to other. Nowadays this is era of internet and in daily life we are using these terms often.

from b to kb = divide total bytes by 1024 , for vice versa multply by 1024

from kb to mb = divide total kb by 1024, for vice versa multply by 1024

from mb to gb = divide total kb by 1024, for vice versa multply by 1024
