We are not born good listeners, effective listening is a learned skill. It requires effort and motivation and basically comes down to paying attention to the content of a message. This exercise will help strengthen your knowledge of ways to improve your effective llstening skills.

Involve your body

Give everyone the opportunity to explain their ideas without interrupting. Actively try to help the sender convey his$/$her message.

Be prepared to take in information from your conversation partner as soon as the conversation starts, not after it starts.

Stay in the moment and focus on the sender$.$ Don't try to figure out what the speaker is going to say.

You have $2$ ears and $1$ mouth, use them accordingly. Try to use the $80/20$ rule: your conversation partner should speak $80$ percent of the time and you $20$ percent.
