To complete this project you will do the following:

1. Research a real-world application of related rates (on the internet is fine).

2. Reconstruct the application or experiment as a calculus question (similar to the ones we have worked out as well as you have for your homework). They should show how the changing variables are related.

3. Create a presentation/video explanation and explain all work about the related rate application. You are expected to clearly communicate the calculus involved.

For example:

Application: Fill a hot tub with water using a garden hose

Research: Rate of flow of water through a garden hose and the dimensions of a hot tub.

Use Calculus: 

Find the rate the water level is changing for the lower portion of the hot tub (where feet rest) and the upper portion of the hot tub (seats up to the water surfact).
