Topic: Putting it all together. Comparing macroeconomic current picture, and forecasting a near-term outlook, for two countries.

Description:

You have studied a variety of macroeconomic topics in this course and this will be your practice in putting it all together. In this assignment, you are to research two countries of your choice and summarize how their economy has been operating over the past 12-18 months; you have to analyse 'headwinds' and 'tailwinds' that their economies face over the next 12-18 months; and what you expect will happen to their economies based on these impacts.

Use your research skills and address the following areas:

1.Which two countries are you studying? Why did you select them? What does their economy look like? Assume that the audience of your article has no internet access and your document is the only piece of available information to them. They will need to know about the countries; GDP; key industries; demographics; economic systems etc.

2.What have they had going for their economies over the past 12-18 months (i.e.: tailwinds); what are they up against over the next 12-18 months (i.e.: headwinds)? Be specific.

3.What do you forecast for them in the future? Will things improve? Will they get worse?
