Try to pick a day you are interacting with a few people either online or in person. Note times when you feel like you exhibited competent listening behaviors and note times when listening became challenging.

After you have finished logging for the day, analyze the log based on what you have learned about listening.

c. Did you notice yourself using one type or style of listening or strategically using one?

 

d. Were there any listening barriers? Did you engage in any bad listening practices?
