Two College friends, Jason and Jackie decided to go out on Friday night to Bottomless Pub in Victoria. Jason arrived in his car, picked up Jackie and both drove to the pub. Once inside the pub they separated and socialized with other friends. Jackie had a few drinks in the pub and was happy when Jason approached her after a few hours and offered her a ride home. On their way to Jackie's home Jason lost control of his car and hit a utility pole. The police arrived and Jason admitted to drinking several beers in the pub. He was not injured but Jackie suffered concussion and injured her neck. Her graduation from the College (and her entrance into job market) may now be delayed for 6 months. Jackie claims she would not have accepted the ride if she knew that Jason was intoxicated. Jason says he should not be blamed for Jackie's injuries and losses.
