Find the distance of the fire from the line Using substitution we get: connecting the towers, to the x tan 210 nearest kilometer. Solving this equation for X results in exactly: X= XD 219 380 Substituting this result back in we find that d = km which is the distance the fire is from the line 40 - x connecting the towers
