  3. Use at least 100 useable comments for analysis, so be sure to download more as some (many) will not beuseable.
  4. Decide on inclusion criteria (what defines a useable comment). Below is anexample Inclusion Criteria).
  • Selection set to"newest"
  • No profanity, sexual, or racistcontent.
  • Clearly expresses agreement or disagreement withSinek.
  • Clearly expresses support for or opposition to the opinions expressed bySinek.

  1. "Scrub" your list of downloaded comments. Exclude irrelevant comments and extraneous text (such as names, dates, advertisements,etc.).
  2. Remove hard returns from the individualcomments.
  3. Copy and paste 100 useable comments in an Excel spreadsheet (see the Millennials in the Workplace: Data Collection and Analysis Example Spreadsheet).

Step Three: Analyze and present your "Comments" data

Phase One: Simple Analysis

  1. Using the excel spreadsheet containing your 100 comments, read each comment and place a code in the "Agree/Disagree" column. For example: 1 = Agree; 2 =Disagree.
