Water in a tank flows through an outlet 25 meters below the water level into a 6-inch schedule 80 commercial steel horizontal pipe 30 meters long, with a 90 square elbow at the end and connected to a vertical pipe of the same diameter 15m long. The vertical pipe is further connected using also 90 square elbow to another horizontal pipe 60 meter long and of the same diameter. This pipe contains a fully open globe valve near the end of the pipe and discharging to atmosphere 10 meters below the level of the water in the tank.
