We dive into drafting our signature assignment. Step 2 requires you identify the specific piece of legislation you are going to analyze for the remainder of the semester. To build on where we have been, ideally you select a piece of legislation that intends to address some aspect of the social issue healthcare availability and refugee crisis.

Please select legislation from the last 2 years. It is possible that your legislation is still in bill form.

Your submission needs to address the following:

• Name of the legislation
• Summary of the policy
• What is the historical background of the policy?
• How has the original policy changed over time?
• What is the legislative history of the policy, i.e. how has it moved thru state / federal Congress?
