We find ourselves at the beginning of our third unit. For our discussion board post for this week, we are again tasked with selecting a topic from our assigned reading for this unit. We must then discuss its importance, consider how the topic may relate to current or real world problems, and reflect on our own experiences as well as lessons that we may have learned. To begin, I will select a topic from our assigned reading and discuss its importance. The topic I have chosen from our assigned reading is "Scrum", found in 'Part Two Information Requirements Analysis, Chapter Six Agile Modeling, Prototyping, and Scrum.' According to Kenneth E. Kendall and Julie E. Kendall authors of the textbook titled, 'Systems Analysis and Design, 11th Edition', "Scrum is an agile software development method suitable for complex projects" (Kendall 2023). Scrum is designed to assist teams by allowing them to work together more effectively by emphasizing collaboration, adaptability, and iterative progress. Scrum is a structured yet flexible approach for managing complex projects and it is important in project management and software development because of the enhance collaboration, continuous improvement, increased transparency, flexibility, adaptability, customer focus, risk management, higher quality, and empowerment
