We have discussed in lectures and read in our textbooks that organizations can receive large grants without being prepared to manage them. So far, we have addressed the financial management and human resources problems with not being ready for a grant. Take a moment and think about the current organization that you work for now or one that you have worked for in the past. Would they be ready to receive a grant/multiple grants? Now please address this question: What measures might an organization consider putting into practice before obtaining grants to ensure proper management of grant funds/implementation of grant projects in the future? (If your organization has already dealt with this issue, please share what you have learned with everyone!
