what class can i use to create tabs that also works with spinners?

I'm struggling to make an app with the tabs and a parent spinner and dependent spinner inside of the tab, with the fragment class. is there any way i can use the appcompatactivity class to make tabs but also have my spinner in it?

i have my spinners code done and working and my tabs working in fragments but i can't combine the code because there are certain lines of code that fragment class does not support.
