I agree with the responsibility that a minor or a parent has regarding torts and crimes committed by the minor. I think that minors have to know since early age that bad actions lead to consequences. Early in life minors who tend to misbehave at home or in school, the parents or teacher ought to enforce a punishment in order to educate and form a good person with acceptable personal values. This punishment is in accordance with the seriousness of the offense they committed and the more serious the problem is, the bigger the penalization has to be. As the children grow and commit a tort or a crime they have to notice this is not good at all and the best way to reflect about it is by making them liable for the injuries. I think that if any wrongdoing is not corrected by facing legal liability we are not doing anything but twisting the character of the minor and encouraging them to keep the same conduct because misdeeds cannot go unpunished. If the minor does not learn the lesson, consequently he/she will continue to cause problems to the society and jeopardize their personalities, becoming thus a person without moral values.

Additionally, I agree with parents being held liable for any damages caused by the child due to the lack of parental supervision. Parents have the responsibility to guide the kids plus someone has to take responsibility if a minor injures another person or damages another person's property, otherwise they would be out there doing wrong things, being a burden to society.
