What would be a good response to this statement:

In class this week we discussed Mission, Vision, and Values of a company. One way an organization can express their aspiration is to articulate the mission, vision, and value (Casadesus-Masanell, 2014) Having these focal points allows companies and/or organizations to create goals and objective because it forms the foundation for all activities in the organization.The vision tells what the organization will become, and the mission tells how you will get there, and the value statements says what is important to the organization. It will also give stakeholders a clear understanding of the organization's purpose. Having these three components allows you to allocate your resources and plan strategically so that everyone is aiming for the same goal. If they are clearly expressed, that can motivate people and drive behavior. I remember the Maslow's Hierarch, that shows a model on individuals needs. Physiological, Safety needs, Belongingness, esteem, and self-actualization. His theory on motivation say that humans will do whatever it takes to satisfy their unfulfilled needs (Maslow's, 1943), Example, when you have a sweet tooth, you will go out of your way to find something sweet to satisfy the crave. This taps into your physiological need. Therefore, when a company has aspiration, a vision on where they are headed and stand by their values, this motivates the employees and eventually will tap into their crave of wanting to do more or make a difference. Eventually the employees will align their personal aspiration with the company's goals so that they can achieve their own personal career goals (i.e., promotion, pay raise etc.)
