When disastrous events such as hurricanes and tornado activity impact a community, it seems there is an immediate call for assistance from the Federal Government. Some experts on Emergency Management have stated this is a result of losses in federal grant program money and other resources not being available to local, regional, and state Emergency Management organizations to adequately prepare, train, and respond to recorded disasters.
