While the US economy is still one of the stronger economies in the world. The US does appear to be less innovative than in the past and the US does not generate as high a standard of living for its people relative to the rest of the world as it once did. The US also does not rank as well on issues like economic freedom as it did in the past. Are the issues of economic freedom and prosperity linked and is it possible and desirable for the US to return to being the most prosperous and economically free country in the world?
