1. A student performed acid-base titrations on six vinegar samples using standardized NaOH solution and reported the following molarity of acetic acid: 0.8326M,0.8410M,0.8285M,0.8260M,0.8660M,and0.8312M Perform a Q-test on the questionable values (normally the lowest and highest values) to determine if any of these values is an outlier and can be rejected at 90% confidence limit. (You will use the Qtb values in Table-2, on page 45 , for guideline to determine and reject an outlier.) 2. (a) Determine the mean and median for the molarity given in this exercise. (Show the calculations; do not include the outlier that you have rejected.) (b) Calculate the standard deviation for the molarity data. (Show calculations on back; round off standard deviation to one significant figure.) (c) Round off and re-write the mean molarity so that its value is consistent with the precision given by the standard deviation. (d) Calculate the relative percent range for the molarity of acetic acid, where Percent Relative Range =AverageHighestLowest100% (DO NOT include the rejected value)
