Respond to Stacy in a friendly way: Stacy Kirby In my professional career I feel as though my weakness would be communication I've missed a lot of opportunities in the nursing field with different job placements because I'm not as confident in speaking in front of others that I should be. I'm very knowledgeable about my work. I just get shy when I have to speak in front of others, this is an area that I need to work on within myself feeling confident when being in front of a group of people and teaching a class or just giving simple directions. I choose this area because I know that this is my weakness and I have let a lot of opportunities pass me by because I didn't feel confident in speaking in front of a crowd of people. I'm working on my communication skills by starting off communicating to smaller groups and doing one one on one training to build up my confidence to be able to stand in front of a classroom and teach a class and this is one reason why I feel like this class will help me with building up the confidence that I need to step out and in front of large groups, and by doing this is going to have a positive impact on my career because I will feel comfortable in excepting other job opportunities within my work with speaking and teaching other nurses by building up my confidence to do so, and using the tools from this class on doing so and within doing this I can apply it and it can help me get far in my career.
