Xiaomi brings premium 4K smart TVs to Malaysia FOR the first time in Malaysia, Xiaomi has announced the availability of their premium range of 4K smart TVs: The Mi TV Pl series and the Mi TV Q1 75-inch. Malaysian have always been able to purchase Xiaomi's range of smart TVs, albeit unofficially, so this marks the first time the company is launching them officially. "We are thrilled to bring the next generation smart TV experience to Malaysia," said Nicolas Shi, general manager of Xiaomi, Malaysian and Singapore in a virtual media briefing recently. "The TV category is definitely one of the most important within Xiaomi's product universe, and we continue to challenge ourselves to deliver better specifications and areas of innovation." The Mi TV Pl series comes in three different sizes: 55-inch, 43-inch and 32-inch. The whole series sports a bezel-less display featuring a 60Hz LED panel that offers ultra-wide 178-degree field of view. On top of that, it comes with Android TV, with popular streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube pre-installed. Users can also project content and games from their smartphones or tablets using Chromecast and Miracast. The Mi TV Q1 75-inch, on the other hand, offers $K UHD resolution and quantum dot technology in its 75-inch edge-to-edge display. The unit spots a premium metal finish and a 178-degree viewing angle. This is a higher-end experience, starting with its $K QLED display panel that Xiaomi claims to accommodate 100% NTSC colour range with 1.07 billion colour variations and 1,024 different colour shades.
