Yes there were many times when my looking glasses nearly became self-fulfiling prophecies for me. However I never allowed what others thought of me to define my life. What people said about me or expected me to be was something I continually had to fight against until I found the right looking glasses. Those people that told me I was worth it. That told me I had potential and that I could do whatever I set my mind to. When I met those people, suddenly my success and growth exploded. I had finally found the looking glasses (the people) that supported and encouraged what I knew about myself. For example my entire life, I had been told, "your highly energetic personality is a bad thing and will only get you into trouble." Sometimes this did come true. However I believed that having lots of energy wasn't a bad thing. When I found the right looking glasses I was told, "your high levels of energy show your passion and dedication to life and the things you love. When centered and channeled correctly they will help you to find even greater success." And guess what, thats exactly what happened.
