Sharon, your new boss, has asked you to meet with Cindy the Project Manager and to gather requirements for a new sales report. Please read the paragraph below and complete the following tasks:

The Project

Kickoff Meeting

You have a half hour meeting with Cindy your project manager. He provides you with the high level business case and list of key stakeholders.

Business Case

Recently the Sales Team started using a new Sales Application. However, there is not an out of box report that shows monthly sales by product line. Without this report, the Sales Team spends several hours navigating screens to come up with the totals that they must report to management.

Requirements Session

You setup a meeting to discuss the project with the key stakeholders:

Tim explains that as Sales Manager he is ultimately responsible for reporting on Monthly Sales by Product Line. However, Dakota performs the day to day operation and will be able to provide the details on how the data is gathered today. Dakota explains that she uses TPS Screen 12 to select a product line and then enters the starting date for the report (the first of the month) and the end date (the last day of the month). She then clicks the total sales button and the total sales for that product line are shown. She repeats for each of the 7 major product lines. Tim chimes in that it is important to note that the start and stop dates also include times. Tim says that the start time is actually the 12:00:00 am on the first day of the month and the end time is 11:59:59 pm on the last day of the month. Both Tim and Dakota agree that they would prefer that the report be sent to their team distribution list automatically on the first day of the month. Tim added that it is most important to get the total for each product line on the report, but if possible he would like the total for all products as well. He plans to take this information and add it to his Monthly management summary.
