You are a quality engineer responsible for production of medical grade stainless steel nuts and bolts. You are investigating the production of M20x1.5 6g nuts and bolts in your factory (20mm major diameter, 1.5mm thread pitch, and a 6g tolerance). An M20-1.5 6g BOLT should have a major diameter between 19.732mm and 19.968mm. An M20-1.5 6g NUT should have a major diameter between 20.031 mm and 20.370mm. The allowable clearance between a nut and bolt is between 0.010mm and 0.349mm when selected and paired randomly. You ask a technician to select 100 randomly pairs of bolts and nuts (1 nut and 1 bolt that have are randomly paired without testing their fit or knowing their order of manufacture). The technician measures the major diameter of the bolt, the major diameter of the nut, and calculate the clearance between them. They give you the data in the problem 3 tab of the spreadsheet. Report a table with the following descriptive statistics calculations for each variable. o Mean o Standard Deviation o Min o Max Report the probability that (1) a randomly selected nut is compliant with the specification limits, (2) that a randomly selected bolt is compliant with the specification limits, and (3) a given pair of nut and bolt will have a clearance within our specification range
