You are a third grade teacher, in your first year of teaching. You are required to teach a Map Skills lesson to meet the following standard -

"3.1.1. (A) The student applies geographic tools, including grid systems, symbols, legends, scales and a compass rose to construct and interpret maps."

You only have about 30 minutes to cover this standard and heres a template of what I want you to have filled out for this lesson plan.

One of the most important things that I am going to say - teachers do utilize the internet for outside sources - teacherspayteachers is a great example of this. As a teacher, you must be creative, think outside of the box, to create lesson plans that are engaging for your students.
