• Richmond is a retailing company specializing in sales of foods and pharmaceutical products that has branches throughout the country. Its head office, where you work, is in Birmingham and its Managing Director is George Wilkes.
• Richmond hired you three years ago, following completion of your Business & French degree. Since then, they have supported you to complete the Diploma in Marketing professional qualification. You were promoted to your current position two months ago.
• For the purposes of the exercise, today's date is 14th October 2021. It is Monday morning, and you have just returned to the office following a week's holiday.

You have a situation where a customer is completely unhappy with a product that you helped to roll out. You are still playing catch-up from being out of the office. You still have urgent emails to attend to and voicemails to return phone calls. You have deadlines you are behind on. This customer has threatened to take its business elsewhere unless this is solved immediately.
